Math
I worked on finding patterns this week. I also did less than and greater than with equations, like 4+7 < 12

In A Wonder Book we reading about King Midas and the Golden Touch. After his daughter was turned into gold he realized that having gold wasn't the best thing in the world. THe stranger came back to him and helped him to realize that the small things, like a bite of bread or a drink of water, were the greatest possessions.

This week we read about prairie fires. We read that they are actually very good for prairies because it gives lots of good nutrients into the ground.

My brother and I started working on a LEGO project together. We also organized ALL of our LEGOs and built a really cool bridge that lifts up so boats can go under it.
Ninja Warrior Gym
This week I worked on speed some more. I worked on the rings and spider wall as well.

In physics I am learning about energy. I read about potential energy and kinetic energy. Kinetic energy is energy of something that is moving. Potential energy is stored in something that we move and has the potential of moving because it was moved to where it is, like a bowling ball that has been lifted into a tree.
Tech

We worked on speed today. I am trying to get faster at the rings. I also have to work on my vertical grip.

I started working on rational numbers. I also worked on absolute values.

I read two sets of two paragraphs, a total of four paragraphs about Thomas Edison and had to summarize them into two paragraphs. I like doing these summaries so I don't have to write as much.
Science
Looked at dog, rat and fox fur under the microscope and discovered why each had different shapes and characteristics. I noticed that the dog fur had lots of particles on them.

Tech
Figured out how to program robot to perform figure eight shapes. Tried to have it go straight, turn right most of the way around, go straight, turn left most of the way around and have it cross the same point. It took multiple tries, but finally figured out how to get it to drive the assigned shape.
Acting
We practice using the concepts and techniques that our teacher has given us. To avoid becoming talking heads (becoming too reliant on words at the cost of expression, posture, presentation, etc.) we had to speak only in gibberish to force us to use tone, expression, position, etc. to convey meaning instead of relying on words.
